Courage Writing Snapshot

In class, I have been reading about Jesus christ¨s life and looking for acts of courage. I then had thirty minutes to write about it.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but  rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear

There are four ways I read about   Jesus showed courage one was on the cross, two the wilderness, three facing the storm, four facing the devil

Jesus on the cross

As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.  A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him.  Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.  For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’

Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross for our sins so that we could be here today and not be dead. That is why Jesus is courageous

Luke 23:26-43

The wilderness

Jesus experienced an incredible moment of calling; the Holy Spirit had descended upon him and God the Father had proclaimed his love for his Son. After that, Jesus went into the desert to prepare for his life of ministry. In the desert, Satan tempted Jesus to doubt himself and who he was.

Isaiah 35:1-10

Jesus facing the storm

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.  Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

The way Jesus showed courage in this story was that he stayed calm and prayed for guidance to get them safely to land and he kept on praying for help.

When Jesus got on that boat, he knew the storm was coming but got on anyway because he also had confidence in his heavenly Father as the disciples should have had. Jesus was trusting in his heavenly Father, unlike the disciples during this trip.

Matthew 8:23-27

Jesus facing the devil

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,  where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on the word of God. What can we learn about being courageous from this example? When the try to temp us we should speak the word of God

Luke 4:31

Jesus once said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly

The spirit led Jesus into the desert to be tempted by the Devil. After forty days and nights without food, Jesus was hungry. The Devil tempted Jesus to turn stones into bread, to which he replied “Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word God speaks.” The second temptation was for Jesus to throw himself from the highest point of the temple and order angels to catch him. Jesus replied “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” Finally, the Devil offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in return for worshipping him. Jesus replied “Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!”

The Devil left Jesus and angels came and helped him.

Narrative writing

In class, we watched a short film called ruin. once we had finished watching ruin our teacher told us to go and write a narrative about the short film so off we went writing here is my writing on ruin.  I have been working on showing not telling in my writing

Orientation describes setting and charter.

Emerging from the moist and crisp air the scorching rays of the sun stink the hotel room.

Roots overgrowing the streets and cracked holes in the road.

A lone suspect shoved a canister of a giant building looking for an electronic device

that he had been searching for a quarantine facility to try save haven

otherwise, haven will be blown to pieces.

The problem what goes wrong

While Zack was trying to find a tablet he discovered an x345, while he was searching for the quarantine facility. He noticed a sound around the corner,

And once he noticed it was his enemy coming for him. Zack ran for his  ktm 750

he started it up ´broom.´ Zack went flying down the highway driving speedy

100 miles per hour. then the airplane started to take him down by sending a little drone with a little machine gun. Zack went through  a  gloomy pitch-black tunnel, then finally

Zack pulled out his katana and used his power to make it strong and then he stuck his katana into the airplane and it exploded to pieces.

 Complication what makes things tricker

Zack was looking for his family in a quarantine facility. Because these aliens separated

Zack from his own whanau. Therefore he wanted to get them back and keep his family safe from

those who took his family away from him.

Conclusion

In the end, Zack ended up finding his family and more people in the quarantine facility.

Everyone ended up calling Zack a

superhero because he saved their lives and the town did

not end up getting destroyed

Courage posters

In class, we have been learning how to use google draw tools like cropping, layering, and custom color. We also did a poster on courage, First thing we had to do was find a quote on how Jesus showed courage, and here is my poster. I like this quote because this person is saying courage is the absence of fear but rather the assessment that something else is more than fear. The man who wrote this quote was franklin d Roosevelt

character inference

 my character is bean
Bean is a character that wants to be the one that has all the attention on him and no one else.
Bean is a drama king and he is a mean the kid and he gets his finger and wipe it on the chocolate icing of the cake and ate it

credible-believable

The great author makes a character with a believable personality. They show personalities through these

  •  Dialogue (direct speech)

  • Actions

  • Reactions

  • Physical descriptions

  • Thoughts😎

I can see this in beans character. He is Hateful to palmer mother
My example is
Palmer’s mother did not like Beans. She wasn’t crazy about Mutto or Henry either, but she especially did not like Beans. “He’s a sneak and a troublemaker,” she had said. “He’s got a mean streak.

But he’s the boss,” Palmer would explain to his mother.

Boss, my foot,” she would snort and turn away.

The luge

In class, we have been learning about figurative language such as personification. We also have learned some: other sentences structure and responses to feedback to improve our writing.

The luge

In the mid week of the holidays, Nga Hoia O Ihu Karaiti went down to Rotorua for a Christian kapa haka festival called “Te Kaihanga O Nga Whetu”.We all went back home to get and pack our stuff and then wet back up at 9 o'clock to discuss about the trip.”we didn’t leave until 2 o clock. “Finally Matua Teanara arrived” i said as he was turning into the school driveway he turned around in the basketball court then we packed the vans then off we went.

Arriving to the Luge

So when we got to Rotorua we went to the luge,  The  hill was like Mt Cook- massive! WE went up a lift up to the top then we went to this man and he explained about the go karts. We walked into the shop  and Whaea Micthell and Matua Komene went up to the counter  and paid the money so that we could go and have some fun. Then we went to the go karts and went down a  massive hill on the go karts.

After going the go karts Komene and I went to the zipline,It was scary. Some people like heights  ;others find heights terrifying,  The zipline is this wire going down the hill that was 43 m down the hill. The thing that I was attached to the wire was a clip then they opened the gates and off we went.  Zooming down the air like superman. They have this white thing on the zipline. It was to stop us from being smashed at the end .I was really scared at the beginning but in the end it was fun as.

Going to the luge was very fun, especially going down the hill on the go karts and then catching a ride on a lift carrying us back up to the beginning and then going on  it again. If I ever got the chance to go back there I would take that chance and yeah it was fun. If you go own the zipline get watery eyes and the ending isn't bad.

Meeting back up in the hall

After  meeting up we did we did lot’s of cleaning in the hall so that it was clean for the church people, then we discussed  about the trip. After cleaning we did a little bit of work on our bracket then we stayed up till 1 o'clock then went to sleep for 1 hour. Then we woke up at 2 o clock and then waited for the drivers.

writing assessment

In literacy, we had to write an explanation writing and I wrote about runoff and here is my writing here

Intro

So today we are going to explain how farmers make sure they don’t have a run-off.

A run-off is when the farmers finish milking the cow so they wash down the cowshed

so that it is nice and clean for the next milking so that it doesn’t stink, it goes down

the drain into the dam.\

Run_off

How do farmers make sure that they don't run off by having sprinklers so in the

summer they can get all the water from the dams where the puddy water comes from

when they finish milking the cow?. Then they have to clean the races then the poo and

Mimi goes down a drain the puddy water in the dams, Then in the summer they

drain it through a pipe into a sprinkler than the water spreads around the paddock

and then the nutrients in the puddy water will grow the grass faster.

Irregular on farms

What is irregular on a farm it is a system the controls all the power for the milking

cups for the cows to get milked there is enough power for the cowshed to run all

milking so that farmers can produce milk for people to have in their cereal. hot drinks

and you put into a lot more stuff.

Summary

In conclusion, farmers have to make sure that it is a priority to eliminate any runoff

so that the environment is healthy.
