Math strategy

 In maths, we have been learning how to subtract with regrouping. In the beginning I thought it was hard but some of my friends encourage me and helped me and in the end, it wasn't hard. I did a google drawing on it and here it is.

In term one we have been learning about Marsden cross and kiwi. Once we finished we went kiwi spotting and we found some kiwi and we did a presentation of facts about kiwi and he it is .

 One day in 1725 a man called  captain cook went to tahiti.When he arrived there was this man called tupaia. Who was medium hight with a koru on his face.Tupaia was a man who joined captain cook when he came to aotearoa.captain cook was a english man with a weird looking hat.captain cook came from england and went to tahiti to transit  venus.Once cap cook had finished what the queen of england order him to do tupaia hopped on the ship and the sailed to Aotearoa.

When captain Cook and Tupaia had finished what the queen told them what to do they were traveled back to Tahiti and Tupaia got ship borne illness half way.The people had found out they were Tupaia nearly died from that dieses but luckily he survived .When THe people on the ship and in tahiti heard they were very scared  to find out about.when the when john skipper had  heard he was were very sad and angry that they didn’t ‘keep an eye on tupaia’.

Climax 

When captain Cook and Tupaia were traveling back to Tahiti,Tupaia got shipborne illness and he nearly dies.When he got back to tahiti his people knew what medicine to give him, to feel better.Once his people had give him the medicine they told him to rest for as couple weeks so that his body can re-heal.A couple weeks later tupaia was up and moving around again.

Once captain cook had dropped off Tupaia cook and his people were sailed  back to England to tell the queen there ship had hit a big sharp rock and it had put a hole in the ship and the ship started to sink and the ship started to full up with water and in the end the boat sink to the bottom of the sea and went nowhere to be seen anymore.The queen was waiting for cap cook and there people to arrive but they didn’t, so the queen had sent some people to look for them but then some people

In term 1 the years 7 & 8 have been exploring what happens in Russel with the battle of Kororareka. Why did Hone Heke cut the flagstaff 4 times. The reason why Hone Heke cut down the flagstaff ids because the Maori lost  trade with the European, because off the battle of Kororareka  so hone heke was not happy.I have a preastion to show some detail below
